BRUCE PEDERSEN
A name synonymous with dedication, service, and the enduring spirit of the Wyoming Senior Olympics. A longtime competitor and board member, Bruce brings heart, humility, and decades of life experience to everything he does.

From Nebraska Farm Roots to a Life of Service
Born and raised on a farm in Nebraska, Bruce grew up surrounded by the values that define him today—hard work, responsibility, and a deep respect for nature.
Bruce dedicated much of his career to the U.S. Department of the Interior, Bureau of Reclamation, where he worked as a hydrologist, focusing on the science and stewardship of water resources. His analytical mind and calm, steady leadership shaped the way he served both his profession and his community.
A Family Man Grounded in Faith
Faith and family remain the cornerstones of Bruce’s life. One of his most meaningful chapters was the time he shared with his late wife, Llewellyn. Together, they traveled to Wyoming Senior Olympics events, competing, supporting one another, and building memories on the road that he continues to treasure deeply.
Among his most cherished moments is a powerful three-generation experience: hunting with his son and grandson, creating a story he holds close to his heart.
